This week, Episode 101 is out and for the first time, we’re talking about the Tamil language. My guest is Aysha from Tamil For Kids and we had a blast talking about Tamil language, Tamil culture and life in Singapore. In this post, you’ll have a chance to see a visual of the Tamil letters we talked about and learned to pronounce in the episode.
Midway through this week’s episode, I remembered to show her a souvenir that my good friend, Stephen, brought me several years ago from his trip to Sri Lanka. It is a tea towel with the Tamil alphabet and up until this conversation with Aysha, I had no clue what it said.
So I showed it to Aysha and she instantly told me they are Tamil letters and she read what they say. To listen to the episode, click here, and meanwhile you can see an image of the tea towel below. We also talked about Learning Letters in Tamil Alphabet and methods that kids use to learn 247 letters in Tamil!

Thank you to Aysha for this conversation about Tamil!
